Living Hope Christian Church (New Westminster, BC)
Position Summary
Living Hope Christian Church is seeking a passionate and spiritually grounded individual to join our team for the position of Youth & Young Adults Pastor. This role focuses on leading and developing volunteer leaders who disciple and invest in our youth and young adults. The ideal candidate has a heart for the next generation, a proven ability to develop leaders, and a strong commitment to building a Christ-centred ministry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership DevelopmentRecruit, train, and support volunteer leaders
Build a leadership culture marked by prayer, accountability, and shared mission
Provide regular coaching and spiritual encouragement to ministry teams
2. Ministry Oversight
Give direction to youth and young adult gatherings, groups, and events
Support teams in planning and facilitating weekly/monthly programming
Align ministry with the overall mission and values of the church
3. Relational Engagement
Build relationships with key leaders and young people
Encourage connection and belonging within the church body
Provide pastoral support during key seasons and life transitions
Qualifications:
A strong sense of calling to this position.
Display the character traits of 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
Agreement with the church’s beliefs, mission, and values
Demonstrated experience in leadership and team development
Passion for youth and young adult ministry
Strong communication and relational skills
A Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical studies (preferable)
Work Expectations:
Regular attendance at church services and leadership meetings
Preach once a month as per the senior pastor direction
Collaboration with Lead Pastor and staff team

Hours: 20 hours/week (Opportunity to become full-time)
