Week of Prayer

  • In your Homes & Churches (map)

As we start the new year and the new decade, let us dedicate some time and pray with our Conference for our Conference and beyond. Let us enter a season of Self-Examination as we prepare for the BGC Prayer Week January 5-11, 2020.

  1. Ask the Lord to bring people across your path who need prayer. Ask God for discernment as to how to pray for the hurting in this world. Humbly ask people how you can pray for them. Not everyone will receive this, but many will be thankful for you reaching out to them in this way. “In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” - Philippians 4:8

  2. Pray for our nation of Canada - for our government leaders at the federal, provincial, and local level. Remember Paul’s words in 1 Timothy 2: First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

  3. Pray for the lost - those you know who don’t have a relationship with God. Romans 10:1 says “My heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.”

  4. Expand your prayer life: ask God to bless His Church around the world. Pray for the people there, and then bring your witness to the ends of the earth. 2 Thessalonians 3:1 says, “Pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith.”
