The School of Orientation is an annual gathering in Edmonton, AB, designed for new Baptist General Conference of Canada (BGCC) pastors, Global Ministries personnel, and interested attendees. Running from October 20 to 22, the event offers opportunities to connect with the BGCC leadership team, build lasting friendships, and explore core history, theology, culture, and vision. Attendance is required for all new BGCC pastors and those seeking credentialing.
Purpose: It serves as an essential introduction for new BGCC pastors and Global Ministries personnel. The curriculum focuses on the organization’s history, theology, culture, shared expectations, and future vision.
Networking: The gathering is intended to help new staff meet the national leadership team and foster connections with peers, helping them "catch the spirit of BGCC."
Requirements: Attendance is mandatory for all new BGCC pastors and for any pastor seeking to be credentialed with the BGCC.
