The staff at BGC Canada work hard to provide helpful events that positively affect the members of the Conference. Please take a moment to browse those of BGCC’s events that occur on an annual/biennial basis.
Celebration (& AGM)
Celebrating God’s work in the Baptist General Conference of Canada Family. Enjoy interacting with others, sharing ideas, building friendships, & lifting each other up. We will worship together, pray together, & help each other grow as a conference of churches. Click here to find out about this year’s event.
School of Orientation
School of Orientation is usually held over a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in April. The School of Orientation is for new BGCC Pastors, Global Ministries Personnel and other interested people. Discussion times center around history, theology, culture, expectations and vision. Gathering together in Edmonton offers new staff a time to meet the BGCC leadership team, begin new friendships, and catch the spirit of BGCC. School of Orientation is an annual event and is required for all new BGCC pastors and for pastors who wish to be credentialed with the BGCC. Please contact the BGCC office for dates at firstname.lastname@example.org
The 20/20 Summit is for young adult leaders from all across the Baptist General Conference of Canada denomination. These are people in their twenties who demonstrate a passion for Christ and a desire to serve Him. They are invited to participate in the Summit by the leadership of their local church as a way of affirming the direction God is already taking them.
One Day of Mission
Once a year we invite all the churches in the BGCC to take a special offering for Global Ministries situations—usually one in Canada, and one outside of Canada. It’s a free will collection and really just an opportunity for people to give to the bigger picture.
Week of Prayer
We should always pray. But there are special times and seasons when we must intentionally pray – individually and corporately. That’s why, once a year, congregations in the BGCC join together for one week to pray in unison each day – for each other, for our leaders, and for our own lives.
